Welcome to The Trouble with Chyna

Get to know me a little bit better.

Hey friends — welcome to the first post of The Trouble with Chyna.

If we were sitting down together right now, I’d hand you a cup of coffee (or tea, or whatever keeps you going), and we’d just talk. That’s the energy I want this blog to have — casual, honest, and a little messy in the best way.

So, who am I? I’m Chyna — mom of three, professional juggler of chronic pain and parenting, and someone living with a dynamic disability that makes life… interesting, to say the least. For a long time, my disability was invisible, and people were always shocked when they found out. But while that’s a huge part of my reality, it’s not all of who I am. I also love to make food to feed to my loved ones, attending music and arts events with my friends, and advocating for causes I care about, like human rights for all and equitable treatment of vulnerable populations.

Why this blog? Honestly, because I needed a space where I could just… be. A place to share stories, reflections, and whatever is on my mind that week — from disability and identity to parenting and random internet finds. I don’t have a single neat niche here. Think of it more like catching up with a friend: sometimes deep, sometimes silly, sometimes both at once.

What can you expect? A little of everything. Some posts will be personal, some might be resources or commentary, and some will just be me sharing the things that made me think, laugh, or scream into the void that week.

So thank you for stopping by for this very first post. If you vibe with it, I’d love for you to stick around, subscribe, and maybe share it with a friend who’d enjoy hanging out here too. This space will evolve with me — and I’m glad you’re here at the start.
